Alterations Work Group builds framework for Stained Glass Windows @ Pentagon Chapel

On 11 September 2003, the New Stained Glass windows in the Pentagon Chapel were dedicated. The windows had to be supported and lighted from behind. This required the specialized craftsmen from the Alteration's Work Group, inside the Pentagon, who have been working on specialized projects since the mid 1980's. They had to design, engineer, and built an elaborate support and lighting system for each stained glass window. Each window itself weighs approximately 130 lbs, and represents the 4 different groups of people that lost their lives at the Pentagon on 11 September 2001.
